BRITISH CLASSICS TOUR - Sunday 7th May
McLaren Vale to Victor Harbor
BRITISH CLASSICS BRAVE THE COLD AND WET
In true British style, cold wet weather did not deter owners arriving in Victor Harbor on Sunday in a grand parade of British Classic cars for the annual British Classics Tour. More than 120 gleaming British vehicles of popular makes, glided onto Warland Reserve for a spectacular assembly of vehicles from a great motoring era.
Organised by Victor Harbor based Historic Motor Vehicles Club, the Tour started at the McLaren Vale Visitors Centre after an early morning tea. Proceedings began at Victor Harbor with local town crier and bell ringer Mike Willett welcoming entrants focusing on what he described as a timely historic day following the coronation of King Charles III.
Trophies were presented by Victor Harbor Mayor Dr Moira Jenkins awarded by the Historic Motor Vehicles Club. Representatives of major sponsors Shannons and Collectable Classics Cars also presented trophies.
